If want good end result, first you must do you part first!

I went to have my car wash last night! The last time I have my car wash was one month ago, hence my car is really dirty! Then because it is so late already, around 11.10pm, those worker whom had worked from morning till late now, already half exhausted if not totally exhausted, therefore the quality of the washing of course had been compromise. When I was checking the washing before I drive away, I wasn’t happy about it as I saw some stains were not cleaned. I immediately pointed out to the worker and wanted them to remove the stain. They did it eventually, because they want me to leave as a happy customer.
As I drive back home, I start to think, it is not easy to please a customer! It is really hard! My car haven’t been washed for 1 month, hence it is really dirty, and because it is already late already and with their tiredness, plus due to insufficient lighting at the washing bay, hence they may not able to see the stain on my car. When I saw those stains on my washer car, of course I would instantly have the impression they are not doing their job properly, and start to think should I come again next time! Honestly, I believe they would rather do the job perfectly in the first place, if they can notice the stain and will not wanted to have me pointed out to them, because either way they have to clean it anyhow!
It is really not easy to perform customer services to create a customer who leave with full satisfaction. It is important for the service provider to point out their own problem or the weakness rather then pointed out by the customer!
Lastly I have to say that as an individual, it is very easy to have demand on others but very seldom able to make the same demand on ourselves. Because my car wasn’t been washed for so long, that is why the stain cannot be removed easily. If I have done my part, ie, send my car for washing regularly, then the stain will not be a stubborn one and will be easier to clean! From this tiny events, it make me realize and understand that just because I didn’t do my part well (send my car for washing regularly), and I expect other to do their part well for me (wash it real clean), which end of the day, the result is more disappointed. If we want to have good result, we must first do our part!
